UFC on FOX 2 video blog with Rashad Evans for Phil Davis fight on Jan. 28 in Chicago
Follow along with Mr. "Suga" Rashad Evans as he prepares to take on "Mr. Wonderful," Phil Davis in the main event of the UFC on Fox 2 fight card scheduled for this Sat., Jan. 28, 2012, from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
In today's edition, you go behind-the-scenes with Evans as he works out for the media, does interviews and gets touched up for a photo shoot. To top it all off, Rashad even appeared on a local news station.
But really, the time for talking is almost over and it can't come soon enough:
"It went pretty good today. Nice interview at NBC. But talking about the fight, I just want to fight already. Friday, er Saturday, can't come here soon enough. I don't even know what day of the week it is, I'm just losing my mind right now just in and out of mindsets. I just want to go and just fight Phil, get it done and over with and move on to greener pastures. But first, I gotta put those hands on him. BOOM!"
Indeed, we're just a press conference, weigh-in and walk out away from Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis with a light heavyweight championship fight against Jon Jones on the line. Here we go, Maniacs.

your gut must be full of vodka
If it thinks davis wins this
Chubby chasin johnson fan. I foolishly picked an unproven middleweight over belfort. And now i'm stuck with this sig for 2 weeks.
that wouldn't be a bad thing
Rashad has zero chance against jones and I hate jones

Switch Rashad's and Jones' Name Around
Then you’ll have it right.

Rashad has Jones' number
He’s been living rent free in his head for a long time

Yup
Because styles make natchups, I see Rashad handling Jones easily. Bones has never faced a wrestler like Rashad. Someone who doesn’t quit if they don’t get the td right away.

I wouldn't say Rashad wins easily
but I definitely think he wins that fight. He’s got skills to punish Jones for making mistakes. Guys that fight Jones play defense the entire time they fight…Evans wouldn’t allow him to get set like others do and would force Jones to backpedal a lot and that will cost him.

i think it would be a fight similar to the one he had with rampage .. alot of time up against the fence .. alot of circling eachother … i think jones has to have some respect for evans even though he may not want to admitt it .. dont forget guys .. for about a year jones was saying if evans won the belt he would never fight him ..
It will be just like every other fight
“OMG Jackson has his number”
“He wont get past Machida”
" I see Rashad handling Jones easily."

zero chance is a bit extreme there .. i would say 25 percent chance of winning .. evans would be the best wrestler jones as faced to date in the cage…
like i said on a diffrent post .. there have been guys who looked unbeatable and then .. bam … machida was tearing through the divison and looked unstoppale .. not even losing a round and we all say how that ended up
Machida will still mangle most of the top 205ers
If the UFC matches Machida with Shogun again I’ll bet anyone Machida wins
I think Rashad can pull off the win. He is my favorite fighter and I want to see him against Jones. I thinks he wins by UD.

The best rashad we’ll see won’t come against davis because davis won’t be rashad toughest opponent.

He'll be the toughest opponent to implement his game plan against
Rampage has good TDD defense which gave Evans a bit of problems…but Davis will be a lot tougher to deal with in the clinch, A LOT….
