Prepping for UFC On Fox 2

As most you already know, the UFC will be making its second live appearance on Fox this coming Saturday (January 28th) by headlining THREE big fights showcasing both the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight divisions. Two of these bouts (Sonnen/Bisping & Evans/Davis) have title implications of the aforementioned weight classes. But only one of these fights guarantees that either winner will get the next title nod, so I will be focussing solely on this specific bout. That's right, I am talking about Chael Sonnen and Michael Bisping.

Let's jump into the cage of the Middleweights(The realm of Anderson Silva)!!! Originally, Chael Sonnen was matched up against Mark Munoz, another explosive wrestler who many considered to be the only fighter who could withstand Chael's wrestling attack (Personally, I don't think that would have been the case, but feel free to to disagree). Unfortunately, Munoz was plagued by an injury that forced him out of the bout and into the operating room.

Enter Michael "The Count" Bisping.

Aside from Chael Sonnen, "The Count" just might be the most polarizing figure on the current UFC roster. The fiery Brit is never at a loss for words and he lets his fists back up most of his talk inside the Octagon. He is also probably the only fighter who is capable of rolling with Sonnen's endless barrage of verbal punches while countering with a few of his own (Bisping held his own quite well while going back and forth with Sonnen in the pre-fight press conference). So most of us fight fans already knew that there were going to be plenty of fireworks leading up to the fight. But what happens on Saturday when the cage doors are finally closed? Are we going to be treated to the same type of explosive physical fireworks that we witnessed verbally? From what I've heard and read thus far, most people are saying NO. That's right, most of you all out there are saying that this is when the UFC's luck finally runs out (the last 12-14 UFC cards have been absolutely explosive for the most part). I, however, think this fight is going to make the UFC's second night on FOX a screaming success. With "The Count's" continued improvement and Chael's unrelenting style of attack, I am convinced that this is going to be a back and forth brawl. Chael has nothing to live for except for his rematch with Anderson Silva, so that means he can not take this fight with Michael Bisping lightly. Bisping has been itching and scratching for his first shot at UFC gold for several years now and he will finally get his shot if he gets through Sonnen. One thing is certain:

BOTH FIGHTERS ARE COMING TO BRAWL & NEITHER OF THEM ARE LETTING UP UNTIL THE FIGHT IS DECIDED (hopefully without the judges opinions).

Rather than give my prediction for the outcome of the fight, I have included a poll for you to give your prediction!

Sound Off!!!
