Here's the official extended video preview for the UFC 143: "Diaz vs. Condit" event, which is set to take place on Sat., Feb. 4, 2012, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The annual Super Bowl Saturday fight card features a welterweight championship fight -- even if it's just an interim title -- pitting former Strikeforce king Nick Diaz against former WEC ruler Carlos Condit.
Winner gets a belt and a promise to unify it with the strap Georges St. Pierre is still carrying around. And if it's Diaz, the fight could happen as soon as this summer, according to UFC President Dana White. That flies in the face of "Rush's" November timeline but whatever.
Also on tap for Feb. 4 is a 170-pound bout between former title contender Josh Koscheck and rising prospect Mike Pierce.

It's poorly made but still has some really good footage.
A lot seemed rehearsed, like when his wife brought up Baroni in the living room. Seeing Baroni upset about the body builder stuff was a little odd.

Diaz has been consistently good of late. My absolute favourite at the moment.
Honestly I would bet on him against anyone in the division, even wrestlers. Yeah he’s had problems in the past but he’s developed and has a hellish workrate on the ground. He wont just lie there.
And then they give him condit!! my other current favourite! Fuck! And he’s the hype ender. WOOOOOOO rory macdonald. Hype ended. WOOOOOOO dan hardy’s striking. Hype ended. WOOOOOOOO stun guns gonna out wrestle gsp. Hype ended via knee to the face…
I have no idea what the fuck is gonna happen. If either win it’ll be great but i’m rooting for diaz at this point.

Can anyone tell me what Mike Pierce has done to deserve a co-main slot on a PPV?? As far as I’m aware, he hasn’t beaten anyone who’s still in the UFC and the wins he has had haven’t exactly been exciting. it’s not quite on a Sean McCorkle level of inexplicable match-making but it’s close!

Yeh I agree – that would be a great fight, in my opinion. Also, surely Nelson v Werdum is a more marketable co-main – heavyweights, BJJ wizards,Werdum’s return to the big show etc?

He’s got a solid, basic game thats pretty effective. But I wouldnt hope for a gogoplata anytime soon.

OK maybe 'wizard' is a little strong
But he’s top 5 BJJ in the heavyweight division and the heavyweights are generally more marketable than the lighter weight classes. Mike Pierce isn’t top 5 at anything. I’d like to see John Hathaway thrown in against the likes of a Josh Koscheck – anyone know when he’s likely to be back from injury?

I can say that I was warning them about their product getting diluted before their numbers dropped and that their numbers later dropped.
I can say that I’m worth paying attention to when I analyze their business.
