Pro Elite 3 weigh in results and video from Honolulu for 'Grove vs Minowa'
The official weigh-in event for Pro Elite's Saturday evening fight card took place today (Jan. 20, 2012) at the Neil S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Of the 18 fighters who stepped on the scales, 17 successfully made weight. Only Toby Misech from the undercard came in one pound more than the 146-pound limit.
This card will feature a main event between Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran middleweight Kendall Grove and undersized fan-favorite Ikuhisa Minowa, AKA "Minowaman." Grove is coming off a one minute submission in his first bout outside the UFC and is hoping to keep the momentum rolling.
Also on the card will be the semifinals of the Pro Elite heavyweight grand prix as four heavyweight prospects square off. Jake Heun will take on undefeated Richard Odoms and Cody Griffin will battle Ryan Martinez.
Lastly, former Olympic silver medal-winning wrestler Sara McMann, puts her undefeated record on the line against highly ranked former Smackgirl champion Hitomi Akano in what should be her toughest test to date.

Eh, these two are different kinda of fighters.
One is a fairly successful serious MMA fighter while the other is a fairly skilled Japanese fighter who is more popular for making things entertaining rather that looking impressive. I still hope mullet man wins though.

I am willing to test myself against the toughest fighters in the world, in front of hundreds of thousands or even millions of fans, over and over again. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, but I always come to fight. I've been doing this for the past fourteen years, and I have at least a few more strong years left in me. What have you done in the past fourteen years other than act like a moron on this forum and hang on Anderson's nuts? - Dan Henderson.
