Miguel Torres was abruptly dumped by the world's largest fight promotion after an insensitive rape joke on Twitter before he took the necessary steps to kiss and make up to find his way back into the club. Now, he's got his return opponent.
That would be Michael McDonald, who will welcome him back to the Octagon at UFC 145, which takes place on April 21, 2012, at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
The promotion brought word of the bout just a short while ago.
Also announced was the seven bouts that were booked for the April card that was going to take place in Montreal have all officially been moved to UFC 145 in Atlanta. Here's how the updated card looks now (sans main event, which is expected to be announced in the coming weeks):
170 lbs.: Rory MacDonald vs. Che Mills
135 lbs.: Miguel Torres vs. Michael McDonald
145 lbs.: Mark Hominick vs. Eddie Yagin
265 lbs.: Brendan Schaub vs. Ben Rothwell
155 lbs.: Mark Bocek vs. Matt Wiman
265 lbs.: Travis Browne vs. Chad Griggs
155 lbs.: Anthony Njokuani vs. John Makdessi
155 lbs.: Mac Danzig vs. Efrain Escudero
170 lbs.: Keith Wisniewski vs. Chris Clements
