PrintI've posted this before, but as it is Friday, and in the most depressing month of the year, and because it was about 2 years since i originally posted it, i thought i would revisit it.....
Picture the scene, your just about to walk to the Octagon to kick the guy whose dog shits on your lawns ass, or wheel kick your shitty bosses head into 2013 and make him live on chicken soup for a year as you turn his jaw to baking soda.......or maybee your just going to fight Tito Ortiz......

Guttermouth. I got to see Guttermouth open for Bad Religion open for Pennywise a few years ago. Bliss overload.

I have a dry erase board from my youth that i use at work and it still has the riverdales "27" logo written on it in permenant marker.
Ramones and screeching weasle are probably my 2 biggest regrets as far as missing them on tour. I have seen youth brigade at Holidays in the sun 2001 San Francisco. Lot of old bands played.

Riverdales were the epitome of a punk band back when. I never fully understood why the name change, but the rumors were it was because “they got to big”.

One of my best friends (RIP) use to get blitzed with Joey and Jonny at CBGB's back in the day.
He had all sorts of pics. I only saw them on tour once, but it was an incredible experience and one of those tour opportunities that I couldn’t pass up, like the Grateful Dead.

lots of bands played, even cheap trick, blondie, then we had iggy tickets the next night in detroit so we had to drive all night to make both. Those were the young days.

Never listened to Dead Boys or Rocket from the Tombs, will def check that out…..and as for Misfits, you are referring to the Danzig led Misfits, correct (please say yes).

I would agree with that. But, I was never much of a metal guy. I like Metallica and I have gotten more into them and other music like that, but when I was an impressionable kid, I wouldn’t listen to anything that got airplay. It was a stupid little rule we had. I think it made us think we were cool, when in fact, we were just being douches.

we’re def from the same era :) awesome!! saw a good portion of those bands out in western canada in the mid 80’s. Caught DRI on their Dealing With It Tour which was one of the bets shows of all time. Black Flag LOL, spent the first three bands in the can puking, made it out for the them though lol and went hard in the pit :) Raw Power, The Crumbsuckers, ill Repute, Septic death, LA’s Wasted Youth, Toxic Reasons, Dead Kennedys, RKL, Excel, Suicidal, Angry Samoanes, Dr Know, COC, SNFU, Beyond Possesion, Slayer, Celtic Frost, Death Angel, Possesed, Mercyful fate, Pantera etc etc etc the good ole days. Still listen to the same shit today, my wife hates that my son likes it.

A lot of people chose the same colours. Not just bright colours with major notes and dark with minor.
Also, some techno music is created at a tempo that matches the average heart beat for obvious reasons.
Interesting stuff Ulf, crazy about Vivaldi. I do like that piece but I’m not sure what i’d choose classical; Chopin or Beethoven. I’m still trying to play moonlight sonata but i’m not classically trained or even that deeply involved in music anymore so it’s never happening.

Both Zombie Halloween films were utter trash. He absolutely butchered every character. Yet another example from Hollywood of a classic idea being completely ruined by awful sequels and even worse remakes.
The Carpenter orginal films were both excellent especially for horror movies, everything else done under the Halloween name has been completely unwatchable.

FOX do a great job covering football though and the FOX Soccer channel covers everything.
And diving is a big issue in football, the Italians are the worst for it in my opinion. It spoils the game and it’s embarrassing to watch top athletes behave like children, it’s even worse.
The Inbetweeners Movie was huge over here, it broke box office records. It’s the film sequel to a popular TV series over here. It’s the most popular show for people my age over here.

Sure the CL campaign was disastrous and you’ve had 3 shocking defeats in the league but you’re certainly still capable of winning it. Don’t forget you’re only 3 points behind the top, hardly a reason for your fans to panic. City haven’t exactly set the world alight recently, Spurs keep dropping silly points, Chelsea have been even worse and Arsenal are a 1 man team.

I just never liked them as much after Do or Die, the original singer quit so early it just never felt the same.

man..when i lived in vancouver
so much good music was coming up there… i loved the seattle music scene way back..i was nirvana at this tiny venue and THEY opened up for Tad.. i loved mud honey and the babes in toyland were a good chick band..
when they implemented a band tax at the border..most bands stopped coming up to Van..it sucked…and not just the near bands..like all bands that toured didn’t bother zipping up and playing there!!

Yeah, I got influenced by my mum a lot. Loads of old reggae, some soul like Marvin Gaye, Al Green, the original Wailers. Didn’t mention Cream / Clapton before. I’ve never really been into jazz as far as I know unless it’s mixed with hip hop instrumentals. Don’t know if you’d like that sort of thing but the album is Mushroom Jazz 5 by Strange Fruit Project. Haven’t listened to the whole album yet but a friend of mine put it on for me because he knows I like instrumentals.

First of all, I’ve sent you the fucking pictures and secondly, I placed Drew Fickett in a fight fucking months ago and five weeks prior to my main event of my fucking fight card. You’re going to give me a fucking call tomorrow or I swear I’ll get on a fucking plane and go right where you’re at right now.
