Strikeforce recorded a live gate of just $68,805 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Jan. 7, 2012, according to official figures released today from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

The final attendance of 1,992 was a result of 927 tickets sold and 1,065 "comps." A total of 727 seats at "The Joint" remained unfilled.

More tickets were given away than actually purchased, which means that if you bought a ticket for the Showtime-televised event, there's a pretty good chance the guy next to you didn't.

"Rockhold vs. Jardine" featured Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold defending his 185-pound title by beating the brakes off UFC veteran Keith Jardine.

A genetically engineered Muhammad Lawal blew the doors off Lorenz Larkin while Robbie Lawler landed a "Ruthless" flying knee to paste ProFC import Adlan Amagov.

Good times.
