UFC lightweight fighter Jim Miller is hoping to get back into the 155-pound title chase when he takes on Melvin Guillard this Friday night (Jan. 20, 2012) at the UFC on FX event from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
So how does he plan on dealing with "The Young Assassin" on fight night?
"Melvin is a dangerous fight for anybody at lightweight, and a majority of guys at 170 (pounds) as well. But he does have weaknesses and the thing with him is you gotta fight him. That's my style. You gotta get in there and press him and get in his face. When guys do that, that's when he makes mistakes. Same as always. My plan is to move forward, make him fight me and make him fight my fight."
After the jump, hear more from Miller including his thoughts on bouncing back from a tough loss, his prediction on UFC 144: "Edgar vs. Henderson," his nephew's progress, the future of Strikeforce, wanting to fight Gilbert Melendez and of course, his epic beard.
Check it out.
