Get ready for some fireworks, Canadian fight fans.
That's because powerful lightweight striking machines, Anthony Njokuani and John Makdessi, are scheduled to throw down at UFC 145, which is scheduled to take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on March 24, 2012.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today made the exciting announcement via its official Twitter.com page.
Both fighters are looking to rebound from losses in their most recent performances, with Njokuani dropping a unanimous decision to Danny Castillo at UFC 141 last month and Makdessi getting choked out by an over-sized Dennis Hallman at UFC 140, which also took place in Dec. 2011.
Expect one of them to do it in spectacular fashion because "The Assassin" and "The Bull" come straight forward, winging dynamic strikes from all sorts of crazy angles to finish their opponents. In fact, both fighters have finished more than 50 percent of their fights via (technical) knockout throughout their mixed martial arts (MMA) careers.
Look out.
UFC 145 is still without a main event; however, Rory MacDonald vs. Che Mills, Ben Rothwell vs. Brendan Schaub, Travis Browne vs. Chad Griggs and Mark Hominick vs. Eddie Yagin, among others, have been announced for the event at this time.
