Fight week, blog week.
UFC President Dana White tells us it's that time again (already), as he gets us geared up for this Sat., night's (Jan. 14, 2012) UFC 142: "Aldo vs. Mendes" event from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Before we get to that fight card and all its juicy match-ups, first we must look back at the behind-the-scenes of the last event, UFC 141: "Lesnar vs. Overeem," which took place this past Dec. 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And that's exactly what the first video blog of the week does. It's mostly the usual backstage fare: medical check ups with the fighters who suffered hard losses, like Jon Fitch, who was knocked out in 12 seconds by Johny Hendricks. "Big Rig" is shown shooting the breeze with Joe Rogan and Lorenzo Fertitta after, happy as a tornado in a trailer park.
Perhaps the best part of the video blog is when White gets in the cage and tells Nate Diaz he needs to go to the referee so they can announce a winner after his fight against Donald Cerrone. Diaz replied simply, "Yes, sir." White followed up by telling Nate and his brother Nick, who was there as well, to "Be cool, alright? Everybody be cool."
His relief when Diaz hugs Cerrone is palpable.
Because White is "doing a bunch of stuff for The Ultimate Fighter on FX," he won't get to Brazil until Wednesday, which means this video blog will have to tide you over until the weekend, Maniacs. Don't go crazy.

Good thing they kept a gun out of Fitch's reach.
Guy looked like he wanted to swallow a bullet knowing he’ll probably never get another title shot again.

#1: Silva (destroys top fighters making them look like they don't belong and has done it for years)
#2: Jones (destroys everybody including top guys)
#3: GSP (long time champ but can't stop people that others can who aren't blown up LWs which isn't so dominating compared to #1 and #2... hence P4P)

I don't see him getting one there either.
Since his gameplan is always muscling guys around and laying on them Even bulking up he could do that to certain guys at MW imo. Around reason why I’ve always said GSP won;t move up. He’s too small for MW and wouldn’t be able to do the same there.

Its the same BS every time. Fighters getting their gloves cut off. These vlogs went to crap ever since they started showing ONLY this type of footage. I miss the days of Dana goofing around with Rampage and stuff like that. How much more walk out footage can we possibly take?

Brock's camp was dead silent

That was odd wasn't it.

They were sitting there like it was a funeral.
Brock in the chair not moving no one else moving or saying a thing. That maybe how they always are, who knows, but looking back it makes a lot sense what happened.
the last blog he promised in episode one to do more of these, and promised he would do more than 1

As one sided as it was I really enjoyed the diaz/cerrone fight. Not because cerrone got his ass handed to him but because i was at the edge of my seat rooting for nate and hoping cerrone wouldn’t land something to atleast rock nate
