Houston Alexander finds himself in trouble for child abuse after forcing his son to box him.
In the bizarre and unfortunate news of the day, former UFC light heavyweight Houston Alexander has been arrested for making his son box him. That's the unfortunate part. The bizarre part is why Mr. Alexander was upset.
Apparently, his 16-year-old boy was chatting it up on Facebook with some females and one thing led to another and well, you know where it goes. When confronted, he allegedly lied to his father, which prompted Houston to get his boxing gloves and proceed with his brand of punishment.
Here's more from KMTV News Omaha (via MiddleEasy.com):
Police ticketed popular MMA fighter Houston Alexander for child abuse after the 39-year-old became upset with his 16-year-old and made him box with him.
Police reports say officers were called to a home near 44th and Maple for a domestic disturbance. The older Alexander told them he was having trouble with his teen son, who was "having explicit sexual contact on Facebook with some unknown females." The 16-year-old reportedly lied and "made him very upset."
According to police reports, "Alexander then retrieved boxing gloves and told his son, 'If you are going to lie to me, then we are going to box.'" The two reportedly boxed in the basement. Officers describe the teen as having a "slight bloody nose and pain to his right side."
Alexander was cited for misdemeanor child abuse.
Alexander bounced out of the UFC after four straight losses, the last of which was an embarrassing defeat at the hands of street legend and YouTube sensation, Kevin Ferguson, better known as Kimbo Slice.
He's bounced around the regional circuit since then, compiling a record of 4-2-1 but he was last seen once again suffering a humiliating loss, this one via knockout by Steve Bosse up in Canada.
Karma, maybe? That's for you to decide, Maniacs.
