UFC 140: Dennis Hallman (sans speedo) tapped to fight John Makdessi on Dec. 10 in Toronto

Who wears short shorts?

Not Dennis Hallman. Well, not anymore -- but that doesn't mean he won't be coming in skimpy for his UFC 140 bout opposite John Makdessi at the Air Canada Centre on Dec. 10 in Toronto, according to MMA Die Hards.

That's because "Superman" is darting into the phone booth at 170-pounds and coming out a lightweight, a quick-change transformation likely brought on by his hairy-chested kryptonite at UFC 133 last month in Philly.

Hallman was mounted and battered into a technical knockout stoppage by Brian Ebersole, snapping a two-fight win streak for "the guy Matt Hughes can't beat."

Anyone giving him a shot in the UFC's stacked 155-pound division?

If he expects to have any sort of career longevity as a lightweight, he'll first have to get past Makdessi, who's perfect through nine professional fights.

That includes a sensational spinning-backfist knockout for "The Bull," who dropped Kyle Watson at UFC 129: "St. Pierre vs. Shields" earlier this year.

He's a stiff test for any competitor, even one as seasoned as Hallman.

UFC 140 is expected to be headlined by a heavyweight rematch pitting the resurgent Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira against mouthy nemesis Frank Mir. Other bouts announced for the Toronto card include Rory MacDonald vs. Brian Ebersole and Mitch Clarke vs. John Cholish.
