Cesar Gracie calls Dana White during UFC 137 press conference, says he can't find Nick Diaz

As if this scenario couldn't get any more bizarre.
During the UFC 137 press conference today (Sept. 7), Dana White announced that Nick Diaz is no longer going to fight Georges St. Pierre in the main event on Oct. 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
That's because Diaz skipped town and decided not to attend the press conference today, no different than he failed to do in Canada recently. So what exactly happened to him and where the heck is he?
As it turns out, nobody knows, not even his family or his manager.
In fact, during the press conference today, White received a call from Cesar Gracie, Diaz's manager, which he took while he was on stage in front of the media. After a brief conversation, here's the information he relayed:
"I apologize and I agree with what you're doing 100-percent. We're embarrassed. I've been trying to chase Nick around town. Nobody can find him."
Adding to this even further is the fact that White revealed later in the presser that Gracie, at one point, had Diaz in his house and the former Strikeforce champion literally snuck out the back door.
Yikes.
An MMA all points bulletin is out on Nick Diaz, folks. Last known location: Stockton, California. If you find him, please contact UFC.
Jokes aside, let's hope Diaz is okay and stay tuned to MMAmania.com for more as this story develops.

Are you kidding me!
I really wanted t see Nick back in the UFC, but this is crazy. This dude is so screwed up in the head he can’t even hold down a job now. This was the biggest fight of his career and this is the way he handled it…what a dope!
Hate to see it because he is such an exiting fighter. Walking through punches to beat on his opponents. Sorry Nick we’ll miss you, but I’m not sorry! Lets see someone who wants to beat GSP fight GSP!
I hate it when people have a bunch of carp in this section!
It's so strange....
Not that I don’t feel Carlos Condit isn’t going to be a tough match up for GSP.. I just really wanted to see GSP fight Nick Diaz… this scenario just sounds strange.
Hell does Nate know where he's at?
Maybe he eloped! Or he’s just hiding under the bed, maybe he decided to quit fighting in all but 1 week!
GSP has got to be unimpressed by his performance actions

game to fight except he did the one thing he knew would get him thrown out of this fight...it's dana's only problem with him
so how do you get out of a fight you don’t want to be humilated in?

yeah....
I know some serious guys that get all nervous and cant perform when it comes to fighting in a promotion. But in the gym they are beasts and nobody can touch them. Like they would rather do anything else than be in the spotlight for a few minutes. weird

Screw that, I don't care what you don't like. He had a job to do to show up. He could of at least faked illness. I mean come on!
I would expect to also get pulled from my money making opportunity, I guess in my case my job. If I just didn’t show up a few times unannounced.

SOME PEOPLE HAVE SOCIAL ANXIETY
and its obviously pretty bad for nick.. hes still a great performer and i think this was a little hasty on danas part but still understandable..
its hard to blame him he does terrible with media and maybe hes self conscious about it.. i hope dana keeps him in the organization..

i don't think you're wrong.
dana said that Cesar told him Nick snuck out the back door!!! C’mon son!
i don't think it was hasty at all.
if you listened to the press conference that just finished, he basically said that has zero confidence now that Nick would show up for the fight. He asked the audience something like, “should i continue promoting the fight even though i don’t even know that he’ll show up to fight?”
i don’t blame him. i blame nick.
He has done pressers before

I'm the best ever. I'm Sonny Liston. I'm Jack Dempsey....My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious......." - Mike Tyson

HAHAHAHAHAHA
Why do I keep picking Forrest against far superior Brazilian fighters? Because I’m a dumb old man who pretends to be Irish that’s why.
so get it diagnosed and deal with it
but nick chooses to be weed-head and then runs, trying to play the whole “nobody owns me or tells me what to do” crap. If he wasn’t a fighter, what kind of job could he hold down with that type of attitude? Having SA isn’t justification, especially if he’s not wanting to take responsibility for his own life, his own choices and their resulting consequences.
Life's what happens while you're making other plans
dont be scared homie...

this is some BS.
I just spent $650 on tickets this morning. Now main event and co-main event are off.
Condit v gsp is still a good fight. but now who is bj fighting? in the press conference, DW alluded to making a good replacement match for BJ… we’ll see.
he also said you can get your money back if you want

condit v gsp a fight i’d much rather see but nowhere near as big a pay day. everything is fine until you cost dana money
diaz knows what he’s doing. this way he doesn’t have to fight, gsp, fitch, kos all the people he’s bitched about

he knows he cant beat wrestlers...
he’s always complained about how the UFC and the cage favors wrestlers.
Now he can still talk shit without backing it up.
Fighting solves everything.
no chance he stays
because there is no way he signs to fight Fitch

yeah i noticed he said that.
i’m waiting to see who he finds as a replacement.
noooooooooo
i wanna see that fight

maybe i’ll save the money and go to lesnar/overeem instead… hmmm…
Probably a Fitch rematch
That or Kampmann.
Instead of writing dumbass poems and sucking off JMMA fighters, i should instead recognized the greatness that is Anderson Silva. The Pride is by far the most knowledgeable commentator on this site and you should all bow before him
if it would be penn v fitch II, i'd probably pass.
Kampmann v penn… maybe…
Kampmann's got Rick Story.
Im thinkin pull Thiago Alves from his fight with Papy Abedi (??)
Fighting solves everything.
Would make sense
Abedi’s a big prospect; they should give him a more reasonable first fight.

Damn, Nick is such a dumbass, I say can his ass, and he can do whatever he wants but not in the UFC.
Its like, hey boss say we have a very important meeting today, nah, I want be there, I got shit to do, well sir, you are fired, you don’t run the company. What does Nick think this is a Union job.
WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Season 1 Mania Money Pool CHAMPION!
The only MMAmania Fantasy Football CHAMPION!
The Season 3 Mania Money Pool CHAMPION!
The reigning and defending MMAmania Fantasy Football CHAMPION!
I am actually semi worried as to that is going on? Nick sneaking out the back from his mentor?

it makes no sense.
he vacated his strike force title, gave up boxing, signed an exclusive contract with UFC, supposedly was going to make tons more money. Why throw it all away? He’s even running away from his own team!
It makes lots of sense if Cesar brought in some great wrestlers to mimic GSP
and Nick repeatedly got owned by them. Nick is a little slow and it probably finally sunk in that GSP can take him down at will, control him and smash his face in.
He missed a flight
Check BloodyElbow..
His teammate said his plane ‘crashed’… What a way to stir up the spot on Twitter.
