A featherweight battle has been re-booked for "The Big Easy," as Robert Peralta will be filling in for an injured Mackens Semerzier against Mike Lullo at UFC Fight Night 25 on Sept. 17 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Peralta's manager, Jeff Clark, recently announced the bout as taking place at the heavily-promoted Bud Light sponsored "Battle on the Bayou" event that will air free on Spike TV.

After winning six straight fights under the Gladiator Challenge banner, Peralta (14-3) was able to convince the judges he was better than Hiroyuki Takaya at Strikeforce: "Diaz vs. Daley."

Now he gets a shot in the big show in less than two weeks.

Lullo, meanwhile, had his way with a series of lesser-known combatants on the Midwestern regional scene, compiling an 8-2 record that was good enough to earn him a slot opposite Edson Barboza at UFC 123 last November.

He was ultimately disposed of in the third round and will go with the tried-and-true method of cutting 10 pounds and trying again.

His fight against the San Diego native will be his 145-pound debut.

"Battle on the Bayou" will feature a pair of welterweight wrestlers hitting the mat in the main event, as Jake Shields will return to action to take on hard-hitting grappler extraordinaire Jake Ellenberger.

Also booked for "The Big Easy" is a middleweight showdown that will showcase the triumphant return of Alan Belcher, who was nearly blinded in an unfortunate training accident, when he takes on veteran "Athlete" Jason MacDonald.
