The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 ratings are in for episode number two of the reality show in its final season on Spike TV and, surprisingly, the numbers are up for the premiere last week.
According to numbers released by Spike TV, the latest episode garnered a 1.22 rating (including a 1.58 in males 18-49 and a 1.95 in males 18-34) for an average audience of 1.6 million viewers, up from the previous weeks 1.5 million.
While last week's number likely fell below expectations, it has to be considered a win to see viewership grow, even for just a week, especially when considering the disastrous ratings TUF 13 pulled.
The improvement, while not exactly significant, is a good sign for the show that struggled to capture an audience throughout season 13, which featured Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos.
But can they continue to increase viewership?
The challenge now is whether or not they can both build and maintain an audience for the remainder of the season, which, so far, is promising plenty of shenanigans.
Two episodes down, 10 to go.
The second episode of season 14 featured the first Bisping and "Mayhem" choosing their respective teams of bantamweight and featherweight fighters.
