These are the kind of weekends that get mixed martial arts (MMA) loving husbands in trouble with their wives.
As if there wasn't enough wholesome, MMA goodness to occupy your time, DREAM 17 will be broadcast live from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on HDNet at 3:00 a.m., early Saturday morning (Sept. 24).
The card features four bantamweight quarterfinal bouts, as well as several other exciting match-ups that will be sure to thrill fight fans the world over.
Former fighters from Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Strikeforce, World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC), Shooto and PRIDE will be shown duking it out, for the viewing enjoyment of the Japanese fans in attendance, as well as the many who will be watching on television from the comfort of their home.
Here's the rundown of what you can expect from DREAM 17:
In the main event, highly ranked lightweight submission specialist Shinya Aoki will take on former WEC journeyman "Razor" Rob McCullough.
Tatsuya Kawajiri will make his featherweight debut against Joachim Hansen in a fight that is sure to be an instant classic.
Legends of Japanese mixed martial arts (JMMA) Caol Uno, Kazushi Sakuraba and Ikuhisa Minowa will all also be taking part in separate match-ups.
The card will also feature the inaugural DREAM event to have three, five-minute round fights, as opposed to the former system that included two rounds and a possible bonus round.
