Tickets for the UFC on FOX event, which today was made official for Nov. 12 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011.
UFC President Dana White made the announcement during today's media conference call.
Headlining the promotion's network television debut will be a titanic heavyweight tilt between reigning champion Cain Velasquez and division number one contender Junior dos Santos.
"This is our Forrest Griffin-Stephan Bonnar, now on a huge, massive platform, and we need to deliver, and there's no doubt in my mind, and I will bet anything and everything and am betting that these guys are going to deliver," said White on today's call. "It's the most prestigious championship in all of sports, the heavyweight title, and there's nothing more exciting than when you know it's gonna be a great heavyweight fight."
UFC on FOX will feature a full fight card; however, the five-round main event title fight is currently the only bout scheduled to make the live broadcast.
Preliminary bouts may or may not air, depending on the duration of the headliner.
UFC newsletter subscribers as well as UFC Fight Club members are likely to get first dibs on these, as well as all future tickets. Exact dates and times for those pre-sales are still pending at this time and we'll be sure to bring you the latest details as they emerge.
UFC on FOX tickets can also be purchased through StubHub.com (Note: StubHub often has seats available even if the event is "sold out").
