Brandon Vera returns to the Octagon at UFC 137.
That's where he'll face fellow struggling light heavyweight Eliot Marshall when they face off at the "St. Pierre vs. Diaz" event on Oct. 29, 2011, from the Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.
As the event title would indicate, Georges St. Pierre will be headlining in a 170-pound title defense against former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz.
And "The Truth" is, Vera is betting the underdog, because St. Pierre "doesn't like to get hit."
"It's hard to bet against GSP, but the only person I think that does have a chance to beat him is (Nick) Diaz," Vera told Fist-ta-Cuff Radio and ProMMAnow reporter Isaac Guzman. "Diaz sets a ridiculous pace, a crazy pace and he's weird, he has a weird style and he's excellent on the ground. GSP doesn't like to get hit. He doesn't like to get hit at all and he'll take you down. But what is he gonna do with Diaz on the ground? You're not just gonna beat Diaz up on the ground, you can't just whoop his ass on the ground, so I'm excited to see the fight go down. If he's an underdog, I'm putting money on him."

Any Maniacs out there think Vera is saying what we're all thinking? Or does he fail to understand the sophisticated strategy of Team GSP? What side are you taking?
