you say the guy is an ahole plain and simple…and that’s ok…you hate the man not the fighter…I get it…until he loses or is boring in a win it’s pretty impossible to hate him as a fighter…
…the dude has buzzed through the competition…kinda hard to hate his performances…
I get the hate people have against his persona…it’s awkward at best most times…keep in mind he is 23 and world champion of the largest combat sports organization in the world…not the easiest of tasks and I would say he handles PR much better than mr. diaz…
he’s not my favorite persona, but I respect his confidence and in essence to me he’s still a kid and holding up very well…I like him and he SEEMS to stand for what he believes…I just think the sport isn’t hurt by more good guys like him…I guess for me so what if he’s a little douchey…not to mention until I personally meet someone in person it’s hard to know who they are…

Im not a hater actually because i don't respect his antics and bullshit.
You are contradicting yourself. I never hated on his performances. I like him in the cage. I don’t like him with a microphone in front of his mouth. There are way too many variables to just say “oh well I haven’t met him yet.” I know there are trolls here but there is a reason so many people have a distaste for him. Its not just cause.

I read that you do NOT hate on his performances. It is in my opinion impossible for anyone to hate on his performances, he finishes routinely and with authority…
It is your right to hate on his persona, I just don’t get it. There are worse attitudes to have in the world then self confidence and believing you will succeed. He has achieved a lot at a young age and again I give him a pass based upon his age and “PR” experience. I know this (and I am sure I will catch some hell for what I am about to say)….my mother who watches MMA, sometimes when I am visiting their house (yes I don’t live with my mother like some of you still probably do), who is what you would call a casual fan….after seeing his interview on Jay Leno after he won the belt, told me (without me asking her) how great of a representation for the sport he is, good looking, well spoken, respectful, not at all what she would expect from a guy that crawls into a cage to beat another man up. She is 70 years old by the way not the typical demo…so I guess that is where I get my perspective.
I understand the hate for him, I just don’t believe everything I read to be factual…is he a narc? I don’t know…is he a spy? I don’t know…does he have some stances that I don’t agree with, hell yes…he won’t sign a replica belt…that’s pretty stupid…but all in all, and this is the last time I’ll say it…he is a great representative of MMA and there could be worse people out there talking up our sport. Just My opinion…

I’ve never heard of this band. Do they suck? Who the fuck are they? Did they come along after the Guns n Roses-Motley Crue heyday? Because I won’t have any idea who they are if they did.

This pic & others like it speak to the dichotomy of & schism between Jon Jones fans and haters….its a true statement on or against the culturally accepted norms & differences that we as fans take for granted…Jones would be a very interesting case study on the effect of race on a subculture such as MMA…
