Tachi Palace Fights 10: "Let the Chips Fall" took place last night (Aug. 5, 2011) from the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California.
The nine-fight card saw the crowning of a new champion in both the featherweight and much less heralded but highly entertaining flyweight divisions.
In the main event of the evening, WEC veteran Ian McCall captured the 125-pound title by submitting Darrell Montague with a rear-naked choke in the third round, snapping the former champs six-fight win streak.
And with the UFC's plan to add a flyweight division possibly as soon as next year, these fellows could find themselves entertaining a much wider audience sooner rather than later.
But that's not all.
Musa Toliver def. Andy Miranda via unanimous decision
Brad McDonald def. Sergio Quinones via submission (armbar) in round 1
Kenny Ento def. Phil Collins via knockout in round 1
Ulysses Gomez def. Drew Bittner via submission (rear-naked choke) in round 2
Jorge Lopez def. David Marshall via TKO (retirement) in round 2
Giva Santana def. Doug Marshall via technical submission (rear-naked choke) in round 1
Jussier da Silva def. Mamoru Yamaguchi via unanimous decision
Eddie Yagin def. Joe Soto via submission (guillotine) in round 1
Ian McCall def. Darrell Montague via submission (rear-naked choke) in round 3
