It was initially reported that Chael Sonnen would corner Yushin Okami in his fight against Anderson Silva before it came to light that sponsorship issues prevented as much. Or at least that's the story.
The details are still murky but the fact remains -- Sonnen won't be in Rio de Janeiro for UFC 134: "Silva vs. Okami" this weekend to answer for the various slanderous statements he's made about the country and its inhabitants.
It's a good thing, too, if Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is correct in his assumption that the people of the South American country would "kill him in the street."

The entire Mediteranean is like that, my man. Each of those countries traded off being invaded and conquered by everyone. Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Turks, Moors, Italians, French, etc, etc, etc.

Brazil was colonized, like all the "new" world and is 3,000 miles from Africa.
I guess you could call the being invaded, but the country known as “Brazil” didn’t exist. It was a tribal region that was populated by many different tribes. The predominant colonies were from Portugal, so when Brazil became and independent country it adopted the language of the leaders. Just like the US, Canada, Mexico, etc, etc, etc.
I am not saying colonization is not wrong, but “invasion” is not the correct term as Brazil was not an independent country when this happened.

Something bad is going to happen to this guy if he doesn’t chill. Promise. This isn’t is the WWE – someone will make an example of him. And if it does happen – the only thing he will be remembered for will not be his fight with Silva – but for his mouth, his PED, his felony, and that he probably had it coming.
I really dislike Sonnen, but I don’t wish him ill will. But it will happen unless he starts being real and watches his mouth. What comes around goes around.
