UFC announces full list of fighters for Houston Fan Expo on Oct. 7-8
Remember the Expo!
Dana White is bringing a little something extra to the UFC 136 event when he travels to "The Lone Star State" for the promotion's trip to Houston, Texas, which is scheduled for the Toyota Center on Oct. 8, 2011.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently announced it will coordinate a two-day "Fan Expo" at the nearby George R. Brown Convention Center from Oct. 7 right up until fight time on Oct. 8 to coincide with the UFC 136 pay-per-view broadcast.
The UFC Fan Expo typically includes meet and greets with legendary UFC, Pride FC and Strikeforce fighters, mixed martial arts (MMA) demonstrations, grappling "Super Fights," fan-inspired special events, training and development sessions, as well as other combat related opportunities and entertainment.
And now we know just exactly which fighters are coming to town. Complete list, courtesy of UFC.com, after the jump.

"We're excited to bring some of the biggest stars in the sport to Houston for the UFC Fan Expo," UFC President Dana White said in a recent press release. "This is our sixth Expo now. For people who have never experienced the Fan Expo before, trust me, this is the ultimate fan experience. You won't be disappointed."
In addition to attracting more than "150 leading vendors covering roughly 300,000 square feet of space," the exhibit floor will "feature apparel, electronic gaming, food & beverages, fight gear, fitness equipment and supplies, nutritional supplements, lifestyle products and much more."
Oh, and by the way, there are also some huge fights taking place that weekend.
UFC 136 will be headlined by the long-awaited trilogy fight in the rivalry between Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar and his own personal "Bully," Gray Maynard.
A second championship match-up is set for "Space City," as featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo will put his strap on the line against Kenny Florian, who is still in search of that elusive first title win.
A middleweight number one contender bout is also on the card with Republican Chael Sonnen going to war against super-soldier Brian Stann for the right to challenge for the 185-pound title.
Sounds like a blast.

I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.
Glad
to see that they are pushing Gil at a UFC fan expo. I’m sure they believe he will be a bright star in the UFC shortly…That gives me hope he may come over sometime sooner rather then later…

yep, noticed that too.
There were only a couple of other Strikeforce guys attending, and those guys will quite likely soon be UFC fighters too.
