It's time for Keith Wisniewski to visit "The Dentist."
A lightweight bout has been targeted for the upcoming UFC on Versus 6 event set to go down on Oct. 1 in Washington D.C. as Josh Neer returns for his fourth stint in the UFC against one-time UFC veteran Keith Wisniewski.
Neer has earned his trip back to the UFC after going 6-1 in his last seven fights, including a first round stoppage of veteran Jesse Finney and even more impressively, stepping up in weight to defeat top welterweight prospect Jesse Juarez this past June at Shark Fights 16. His only loss during his current run was to Eddie Alvarez, one of the top ranked lightweights on the planet.
Neer punched his ticket with a first round TKO of WEC veteran Blas Avena this past Saturday in Las Vegas.
Keith Wisniewski is making his long-awaited return to the UFC after nearly six years of competing outside the promotion. His last appearance inside the Octagon was at UFC 56, a unanimous decision loss to Nick Thompson.
The loss to Thompson began a horrendous five fight losing streak but he has since bounced back. "The Polish Connection" is undefeated since 2008, scoring victories over UFC veterans Pete Spratt and Chris Wilson in the process.
Other match ups currently set for the Oct. 1 card include a welterweight battle between wrestlers Anthony Johnson and Charlie Brenneman, as well as a long awaited rematch that pits Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman.
Perhaps most anticipated of all is the heavyweight fight matching up Pat Barry vs. Stefan Struve.
