Absolutely love the timing
Sandro drops his head to his left and the kicks already coming. Jab sets it up perfectly and the finish is all business. After having lost the first and about to lose the second too. Fun one to see live.
Going to church doesnt make you any more Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car.
Awesome finish. I love how Bellator allows their videos to stay up.
Though unnecessarily strikes at the end.
Now that UFC is on FOX those strikes really need to be kept in check imo if a similar thing was to happen on a broadcast. Fighters can’t keep using that same old excuse of “i was in the moment”. If you are intelligent enough to compete at the highest level of the sport for 25 minutes then you sure as hell have the marbles upstairs to take a step back and look at your unconscious opponent and realize that further punches would not be academic but rather dangerous to their health.
That being said. Looking forward to seeing more from Curran.

…I like seeing when a fighter shows some restraint…the whole “I fight until the ref stops me” line is kind of lame because a lot of times the fighter knows that his opponent is done and adding extra damage is just not necessary

what if
sandro wakes up when he hits the ground and the ref doesn’t stop it? then everyone will say that curran should have followed up and finished him.
the rules say to go until the ref stops you, so i think pat did the right thing. if i were to complain about anything it would be that the ref was too far away and took to long to get to the fighters to stop it.

like they happend all so fast how would you expect him not to know the guys out.. if you watch he hits him once and than notices and jumps away before the ref even touches him

That finish was absolutely fine its no different to when
Condit KO’d Hardy but no one was moaning about that.
Petruzelli’s Ninja kick and Donkey Kong double hammerfist was brilliant too! Glad to see him get the W.

Sandro is a great fighter, but that doesn’t mean he’s a prospect. Prospects can still improve and that’s just not going to happen with him. He peaked during the Sengoku tournaments.

was all set up to watch the replay last night
and then fell asleep. cant wait to get home today and watch the DVR. sounds like some good fights.
this KO was sick, perfectly timed. extra shots were a bit much but they were very quick and you can tell that it was killer instinct and not malicious carnage in any way. he pulled away as soon as the ref was near. well done Pat. go for the gold!
