Popular UK fighter Che Mills is getting his shot at the big time when he makes his Octagon debut against Chris Cope at the UFC 138 Spike TV event on Nov. 5 in Birmingham, England.
MMA Weekly confirmed an initial Tweet from the Team Trojan FreeFighters camp late last night.
Mills is fresh off a first round destruction of Marcio Cesar at BAMMA 6 back on May 21, pasting "Gracinha" and extending his consecutive win streak to four.
The Gloucester native also holds two (T)KO wins over DREAM Welterweight Champion Marius Zaromskis.
Looking to play spoiler (again) is Cope, who got a lot farther than people anticipated on season 13 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). Prior to being stopped by eventual finalist Ramsey Nijem in the semifinals, "C-Murder" was able to bounce Javier Torres and Shamar Bailey from the Spike TV reality show.
Cope was invited back to compete at the June 4 live finale where he secured a unanimous decision win over former cast mate Chuck O'Neil.
UFC 138, recently announced for the LG Arena at the National Exhibition Centre, will be headlined by the promotion's first-ever five-round, non-title fight featuring a middleweight mash-up pitting division hopefuls Chris Leben and Mark Munoz in what should be a violent war of attrition.
In addition, former welterweight number one contender Thiago Alves will make his return to the Octagon against Swedish newcomer Papy Abedi.
