UFC on Versus 5 results: Dan Hardy will not be cut after loss to Chris Lytle

This is emotion speaking, Hardy proved that he has no business being in the UFC after dropping 4 in a row better fighters than him have been cut. When Lorenzo wakes up tomorrow and talks with Dana and Joe Silva better heads will prevail and he’ll be cut.

I like the guy and I think he is good for the sport.

Jardine gets cut but Hardy does not? I think there is a good reason why UFC could have a weekly one hour show thats part a news show like MMA live but also a show where they can put anywhere betweent 1-3 fights on every week. Where you could take guys that you don’t want to cut like Jardine or Hardy and put them on the weekly show against young prospects or other veterans.

it’s obvious why dana did this. First off, why cut hardy he is incredibly entertaining fighter who gives the fans what they want, a brawl, also he’s a character. Second off by not cutting hardy it encourages other fighters to… well fight basically rather than all this game planning and avoiding a fight, hardy goes out to fight and gets rewarded for it, and this will encourage more people to go out and put on a show

Dan Hardy has a good left hook but he couldn’t land it. His timing was off every time. I like Hardy and I do think he is a good fighter, but he isn’t great, and until he realizes he is not as good as he thinks he is, he’ll believe his own hype- and probably lose the next fight too. Unless of course Dana sets him up against someone he knows Hardy can knock out. Why do you think Dana had a visit with Vince McMahon recently? Dan Hardy is almost like a ‘character’ who talks smack before every fight and looks ‘mean’ with a red mohawk and shark-teeth handkerchiefs around his mug while his crew follows suit. At least that’s what they look like…The point is, Hardy should be cut, but he won’t be because people like to see him fight-even when he loses. Hardy draws money-I get it. But I wonder how Hardy feels as a fighter? Does he have it in him to ever be a champion? IMO, right now he doesn’t . He needs to realize he has serious holes in his stand-up, like um…defense maybe? Dan Hardy could be a great striker if he’d learn some actual boxing techniques from a technical boxer. Slipping punches, ducking, weaving, lateral movement, footwork, proper technique when executing jabs, hooks, uppercuts and straight punches. And once he learns all that, then he should move to defense techniques. Every time Hardy counter punched against Lytle he missed and got cracked a few times. We all saw how red his face was right? Bottom line: Hardy could be a great fighter if he took it serious. Riiiight, he moved to Vegas so it would be less distracting? Nuff said.

Now, who wants to see Carlos Condit beat the snot outta GSP? Somehow, I got a feeling that Diaz is gonna lose to GSP. I’m thinking GSP is gonna take it to the ground at every opportunity and refuse to stand with Diaz. He’ll just grind out another yawnfest. Who knows? Anyway, from what I’ve seen, Condit is a true formidable opponent for GSP right now. Oh wait, what if he loses to Penn? Insert Laugh Here
