UFC 131 payouts, salaries and earnings for 'Dos Santos vs Carwin' event fighters


UFC 131 fighter payouts for those who competed at the "Dos Santos vs. Carwin" event on June 11, 2011 from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada were released late last night by the Vancouver Athletic Commission.

Freshly minted heavyweight number one contender Junior dos Santos was the big earner of the night, hauling in a whopping $200,000 (plus win bonus) for his three-round decision victory over Shane Carwin.

"The Engineer" rode home with a busted up face and $40,000 to help for repairs.

Coming in second was Kenny Florian, who not only made a successful debut in the featherweight division but also may have earned a shot at division champion Jose Aldo along with his $130,00 (plus win bonus).

Diego Nunes, the unwilling stepping stone for "Ken Flo," raked in a measly $12,000.

The total disclosed payroll for UFC 131 was $782,000.

Keep in mind the salaries listed above do not include fight bonuses, sponsorships, percentages and other unofficial payments. It also does not include deductions for expenses such as insurance, taxes, etc.
