UFC 132 'Prelims' ratings average 1.2 million viewers on Spike TV

Spike TV's "UFC Prelims" special for UFC 132: "Cruz vs. Faber 2" on July 2, 2011, averaged 1.2 million viewers, down from the 1.6 million it scored for the UFC 131: "Dos Santos vs. Carwin" undercard offering back on June 11.
The two-fight broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada featured two worthy "Knockout of the Night" contenders.
Melvin Guillard continued to show he's as good as advertised when he blacked out Shane Roller in short order on his way to bigger and better things at 155-pounds.
Also making some noise on free TV was Rafael dos Anjos who sent George Sotiropoulos all the way to the back of the lightweight line by putting him to sleep in just under a minute.
"UFC Prelims" for July 2 pulled in a 0.8 household rating, including a 1.1 in M18-49 and a 1.04 in M18-34.
UFC 132: "Cruz vs. Faber 2" featured a bantamweight grudge match with gold on the line, the first time in UFC history the 135-pound belt would be up for grabs, as Dominick Cruz defended said title against Urijah Faber.
It was close but "The Dominator" got the job done after five grueling rounds.
But that's not all.
Chris Leben was given the pleasure of fighting his hero in the co-main event of the evening and instead of worshiping Wanderlei Silva, he knocked him out flat in 27 seconds.
Oh, and some guy named Tito Ortiz picked up his first win in nearly five years by choking out Ryan Bader.

Didnt get to see the G-Sot fight at all over here.
Only got to see the Guillard fight until it was shown on the main PPV….

oh i did go on facebook haha me an my bro and mate sitting infront of a friggin laptop looked ridiculous
but usually we get the ‘spike’ prelims on tv after those facebook ones finish on ESPN, we didnt this time though

i watched the spike prelims on some online stream though. not the ppv though, as that would be naughty. but the stuff you can watch for free over here is fair game i say

next time
buy some RCA cords or an HDMI cord and hook it stright to your tv. That what i do and it works perfect. just sayin. I hate staring at a little old laptop screen with my flat screen is staring me in the face.
