Twitter campaigns and call-outs work better than you think.
That's because Jeff Curran, a 33-year-old, 47-fight veteran of the sport, has come to an agreement on a multi-fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
MMAWeekly.com passed along the news a short time ago.
This will not be the first time Curran has appeared inside the Octagon, as he lost his one and only shot all the way back in 2004 against Matt Serra in a lightweight battle.
He also had a rather uninspired run in World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC), amassing a 2-4 record with the promotion before his unceremonious release in 2009. A 4-1 record in the meantime has the "Big Frog" back and ready to make a splash in a division some would describe as talent deprived.
What do you think, Maniacs? Is Curran coming on board to make some real noise? Or is he just added depth to the 135-pound division?
