A split may be imminent but that doesn't mean the two sides can't work together while still under contract.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has once again teamed up with Spike TV to bring another round of "Prelims" specials to the airwaves, this time for the upcoming UFC 135 and UFC 136 events, according to Heavy.com.
UFC 135: "Jones vs. Rampage" is slotted to pop off on Sept. 24, 2011, at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado and will feature Jon Jones putting his light heavyweight title on the line against Quinton Jackson.
UFC 136: "Edgar vs. Maynard 3," meanwhile, will take place on Oct. 8 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The event will be headlined by Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar attempting to finally get the monkey off his back when he takes on "The Bully," Gray Maynard.
While the two fights slated for each separate broadcast have yet to be determined, there are plenty of worthy contenders from both fight cards.
Here is the current UFC 135: "Jones vs. Rampage" fight card, which, of course, is subject to change:
205 lbs.: Jon Jones vs. Quinton Jackson
Main Card (Pay-per-view):
Preliminary Card (May not be broadcast):
And here is the current UFC 136: "Edgar vs. Maynard 3" fight card and line-up, which, as usual, is subject to change:

Main card (Pay-per-view):
Preliminary card (May not be broadcast):155 lbs.: Anthony Pettis vs. Jeremy Stephens

There you have it, Maniacs. A couple of damn good looking upcoming shows.
And again, two fights from each event will be broadcast on Spike TV, per the norm, one hour before the start of each event's pay-per-view start time, which is 9 p.m. ET.
You can go ahead and guess which ones will make the cut and stay tuned to MMAmania.com as we will pass along word when the four bouts become official for the "Prelims" specials on Sept. 24 and Oct. 8, respectively.
