Kimbo Slice boxing debut opponent announced as James Wade

An opponent has been chosen for Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson's professional boxing debut on August 13 at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma, and he is Springfield, Missouri's James Wade (0-1).
The two will meet in the four-round heavyweight main event of a Gary Shaw Productions and Tony Holden Promotions night of boxing.
Wade lost his debut in January of this year, but will be looking to make history in his second fight.
"Just like in MMA, Kimbo Slice is walking around with bull's-eye on his back. His opponents know they can make themselves known to the world if they can take him out," said Jared Shaw, Team Kimbo Promotional Advisor. "To Kimbo it's a pro boxing debut. To James Wade, this is a world championship fight."
According to Shaw, Slice's goal in his first fight will be to prove with his performance that he always belonged in a boxing ring.
Tickets for the professional boxing debut of Kimbo Slice are priced at $38, $48 and $68 and are available through Buffalorun.com.

I hate boxing these days…. He’s a “professional fighter” and he is taking on an opponent who is unknown, 0-1 in professional fights and only fighting a 4 rnd heavyweight main event…
I just hate that boxing caters to the fighter so much, instead of keeping a consistent basis across professional fights and what constitutes a professional bout… In like that MMA is pretty consistent 3×5 min rounds (although 3×3 min rnds can be quite common in more regional shows – this really does serve a purpose for new fighters) – but you can be a professional boxer and basically have a fight on your terms… FFS i went to school with a dweeb called James Wade…
I hope he has been actually training for years and smashes kimbo to pieces… this is a farce and i think puts a questionable black spot on boxing to add to the many others which mar the sport….

hmmmm... your problem lies with Jane Goodall
I think you’re problem was of observing the wrong character – you were deceived by Daniel Goodall killing a prostitute but what in fact happened is he backed into the love of your life because he had this infatuation around making your life almost as miserable as his lonesome one. So when he killed Jane Dixon in a fit of jealous rage he then fell for her and changed his name and sex to be “Jane Goodall” in honour to help her live on in his memory.
Couldnt handle the city life and knew he/she was always different to others and didnt want to kill anymore so moved to the jungle and spent the rest of his/her time colonising with monkeys to feel more at one with nature and him/herself….

the guy never claimed to be the best at anything. he just wanted to fight. and if memory serves me, he beat H. Alexander who beat K. Jardine who beat C. Liddell. so technically in MMA ranking terms… Kimbo beat Chuck Liddel.
