Tito Ortiz and Rashad Evans meet again in the UFC 133 main event. "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" is weeks off his first win in years, while "Suga" has been on the shelf for nearly a half-year. It's two extremes that will collide in the main event on Aug. 6, 2011, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Who has the advantage? Who will emerge victorious? SB Nation MMA breaks it all down, as well as predicts a winner, right here.

Fuck it, I say Tito takes this
he’s fresh in the cage, no jitters since he just did this and he has momentum. Rashad struggled with him a lot first fight and Tito was with a fucked up neck. Go Tito.

Rashad's Easily Rocked Hiuh?
Go watch the clip of Thiago blasting him in the jaw and Rashad staying on his feet. Then get back to me.

Hence the Retarded Comments
If you did watch fights, you’d know that Rashad is NOT easily rocked. He is hit in the head frequently, but it takes quite a blast to rock him.
If Tito wins, does Dana cut Rashad?

In 20 years, in a post apocolyptic world where Dana White is a half human half cyborg creature and one of the most powerful men on the planet, we will all be bored of fights ending in KOs and submissions. Then my friends they will impliment the Death Match and then my friends, whoever loses…will DIE!
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law
Well. I think that is the correct way to fight. You know die on your sword and stuff.
Heck. The Hector Achilles fight is more exciting than anything I have seen in the UFC lately

I would have cut Rashad already. He is all talk and all dodge.
He has dodged competition for months, then gets injured, then refused to fight bones, then changes his mind, then gets lucky and gets Ortiz.

Rashad was waiting for the title shot he was promised. And Bones had the injury that needed surgery until it was magically healed by Rashad’s contract to fight Davis. And Machida ducked him. But other than that, you’re exactly right.
Times have changed for sailors these days, when I'm at port I get what I need. Not Havanas or bananas or daiquiris, but that American creation on which I feed.
Machida did not duck Rashad. It was for $$$. Big difference.

I got Tito winning this one as well. rashad did not look too impressive against Rampage or Thiago Silva and that looooong break is going to affecthim. Tito is going in with momentum and a nothing to lose attitude and no longer has the pressure of losing his job. I think Tito will get the UD
Bring back the Chute Boxe of old!!!
Tito! Tito! Tito!
Tito had to have made a deal with Dana about not being cut if he lost. This is a big fight to take cause Rashad has only gotten better.
by JV. on Jul 14, 2011 2:32 PM EDT via mobile reply actions
no,no deal.dana would never in a million years cut him for stepping up like this.
and what a story if tito wins.i hate ratshit evans so i sincerely hope he does!

That Says "Half-Year"
Shouldn’t that be a year and a half?
by G Squat on Jul 14, 2011 2:33 PM EDT via mobile reply actions
no because that sentence means One year and A half about 18 months. A half year is 6 months.

"A half year is 6 months."
So it should be over a year, since Rashad’s been out for about 14 months…

I can't believe this is actually an interesting fight but it is.
I have to go with Rashad but it’s not a strong pick. I think Tito made the right choice to jump on this opportunity, he could do it.

Do you think ring rust and size matter more than only having a 3 1/2 week camp and only 1 win in 5 years and a predictable fighting style

I think its going to matter more than not having fought in 16 months and having your opponent changed 3 times
as far as predictable fighting style, would you have predicted that Tito would have rocked Bader with a right hand and sub him w/ a guillotine?
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law
Lol, I remember when Tito was too proud to sub anyone
Now he’ll take w/e he can get.

I’ll be rooting for Tito twice in a row
by jtc5150 on Jul 14, 2011 2:46 PM EDT via mobile reply actions
The last time Rashad had a long lay off was right before the Liddell fight
and he didn’t show any signs of ring rust that’s for damn sure.

he was also losing the fight and getting walked down until he threw that hay maker right hand that Chuck forgot to block.

Will Tito retire after this beating or will DW give him 6 more hsots to get a win?
Shad by TKO in the 2nd round. Shad ain’t Bader…or Shamrock
this is a win win for Tito
if he wins then probably will qualify to challenge for the belt and if he loses then sticks around being a company man .. as he helped dana and co save the main event.
