First off, former member Kev was the "bank" of our funds for the previous season. He coulda easily taken that cash and walked away. But he decided to pay the winners anyway. I take my hat off to him. He did the right thing when the wrong thing was so easy. No matter what you think of him, he means well and he's an OM (Original Maniac). Thanks Kev.
The second announcement is about why we love this site. Not sure how many of you know, Hemminger missed his picks for the last event. Sure, he sulked a little bit, but then found his manhood and took it on the chin. Ulf handed him a nice sig. A sig you wouldn't ever see a site-administrator/writer use. Instead of backing out and claiming higher-status, he seeked approval from Tom Almighty, and Tom said "the sig must go on!" This is why I love Mania.
Now, moving on to the juice.
Move over Eastwood, this is just too big for you.
Bigger Zino invaded SB Nation last night, crushing cars like coke cans and using lightpoles as toothpicks. His appetite feasted mostly on pansy-ass BE'ers who were frozen in shock at the site of this Maniac! Nothing could stop this giant. Who you gonna call?
After a weak performance in the last event (finishing 39th), Zino redeemed himself with a Bigger performance. Putting himself right up there in the running for that coveted #1 spot.
How'd he do it? Giant ZINO caused terrorist-like destruction going 9/11 in his picks. Scoring perfect on Cope, Bailey, and Kingsbury, while getting 10 pts of the hot bout. The only fights he got wrong were Guida-Pettis and Roop-Grispi. Congratulations Zino, you're playing for free.
Agar's making a name for himself with back-to-back solid performances, finishing 4th place at the 130 event, and now moving up two spots to grab that 2nd place spot, easily securing the overall lead in the standings. Agar managed to pick the same perfect-11 picks as Zino with Cope, Bailey, and Kingsbury...as well as picking Guida and Lil Heathen for decisions. He finished 8/11.
Brucep's another Maniac I'm not familiar with. Lurker? Not sure. But he's proven that he's no slouch when it comes to mma knowledge. Just like Zino and Agar, Brucep also picked Cope, Bailey, and Kingsbury for the 11pts, as well as scoring 14pts off the daily double. Brucep's best pick was his prediction of Scotty Jorgensen by first round KO. Great call there!
UNDERDOG PICK OF THE NIGHT: George Roop - Only 3 people chose Roop, making him a massive dog in this bout. So, who are these pre-cogs you ask? Well, its non other than mania's own love-triangle, AintNoSunshine, sarah and AK. Did ANS have some inside information on Roop or was it just a training partner's love? Either way, great pick!
HOT BOUT OF THE NIGHT: Justin Edwards vs. Clay Harvison - Don't ask me who these dudes are, I have no idea. I just asked a friend of mine who to pick, thankfully he said Harvison. Congratulations to the lucky bastards who got this one right.
BASEMENT DWELLER OF THE NIGHT: arm.bar.bandit - I gotta say abb, this is one of the worst performances ever. I mean, 10 pts? Did you ask Danago to make your picks? ABB only picked Jorgensen and Lil Heathen correctly. Everything else went bust. ZINO, start thinkin about a sig!

Agar has stolen the lead with another solid performance, distancing himself 10pts from PHISH, who holds down the #2 spot, while NNR sneaks into the third sport. We have ourselves a race!
