Shark Fights 16: "Neer vs. Juarez" took place last night (June 25, 2011) from the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa, Texas.
The nine-fight card featured UFC veteran and Shark Fights Interim Welterweight Champion Josh Neer taking on top challenger Jesse Juarez.
And while there was indeed a finish, it was a bit anti-climatic, as Juarez suffered an apparent head injury and was unable to answer the call for the second rund.
Neer earned the technical knockout victory -- he'll take it -- to give him five wins in his last six fights.
The co-main event of the evening was just as disappointing, as "The King" Elvis Mutapcic took Greg Jackson prospect Artenas Young to the scorecards after three very long rounds.
"Chico" managed to do enough to earn the decision, which is about all that can be said about this one.
