Bad news, fight fans.

Just hours before the weigh-ins for UFC on Versus 4, which goes down tomorrow night (June 26, 2011), main event fighter Nate Marquardt has been scratched from his bout against Rick Story.

Jeremy Botter confirmed the news just a short time ago.

Stepping in to replace Marquardt is Charlie Brenneman, who was previously scheduled to square off against T.J. Grant before he was injured just a few days ago.

That fight will, however, not be the main event of the evening. That honor now goes to the Cheick Kongo vs. Pat Barry fight, which was previously set for the co-main event of the night.

Update: MMAFighting.com brings word that Marquardt failed his physical but according to his camp, he would have made weight. A statement is expected to be released later today.
