Marius Zaromskis vs Hayato Sakurai DREAM rematch booked for July 16 in Tokyo

If Hayato Sakurai is still having "Whitemares" about getting beheaded at the Saitama Super Arena, he may have a chance to finally exorcise some of those past demons on July 16 in Tokyo.

That's because "Mach" has been granted a rematch against DREAM Welterweight Champion Marius Zaromskis at the upcoming Grand Prix Finals next month at the Ariake Coliseum.

The promotion announced the non-title match-up earlier today.

Sakurai was stiffened by the Lithuanian's head kick in their first encounter at DREAM 10 nearly two years ago. Whether or not the devastating loss is to blame for his current four-fight losing streak is unclear, but he desperately needs to get back into the win column and there's no better motivation than avenging his 2009 loss.

Zaromskis has been a heart attack on the Japanese circuit, going 5-0 with four (T)KO stoppages since his overseas debut at DREAM 8. Unfortunately that success has failed to follow him to North America, where he's a putrid 0-3 with 1 no-contest.

Can he return to form in the "Land of the Rising Sun?"

Here is the current DREAM fight card and line-up for July 16 in Tokyo:

170 lbs.: Marius Zaromskis vs. Hayato Sakurai
205 lbs.: Gegard Mousasi vs. Hiroshi Izumi
145 lbs.: Hiroyuki Takaya vs. Kazuyuki Miyata
135 lbs.: Masakazu Imanari vs. Hideo Tokoro
135 lbs.: Keisuke Fujiwara vs. Kenji Osawa
265 lbs.: Todd Duffee vs. Nick Gaston
155 lbs.: Willamy Freire vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri
155 lbs.: Bruno Carvalho vs. Eiji Mitsuoka

Stay tuned to for future updates to this still-developing fight card.
