Spike TV's "UFC Prelims" special for UFC 131: "Dos Santos vs. Carwin" on June 11, 2011, averaged 1.6 million viewers, up from the 1.3 million it scored for the UFC 130: "Rampage vs. Hamill" undercard offering back on May 28.
The two-fight broadcast from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada featured the eventual "Knockout of the Night" and "Submission of the Night" winners.
Also making some noise on free TV was Chris Weidman, who once again took a fight on short notice and, once again, performed exceptionally, submitting Jesse Bongfeldt in the first round with a standing guillotine.
"UFC Prelims" for June 11 pulled in a 1.0 household rating, including a 1.3 in Men 18-49 and a 1.34 in Men 18-34.
UFC 131: "Dos Santos vs. Carwin" featured a titanic tilt pitting heavy-hitting heavyweights Junior dos Santos vs. Shane Carwin to determine the number one contender to the 265-pound title.
One broken "Engineer" later and "Cigano" will meet Cain Velasquez later this year.
But that's not all.
Watch out, Jose Aldo -- "Ken Flo" wants your belt.
