Strikeforce odds: Alistair Overeem vs Fabricio Werdum

Strikeforce: "Overeem vs. Werdum" represents the second leg of the promotion's heavyweight grand prix tournament, commencing this Saturday night (June 18) from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Leading the charge is current Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem as he tries to avenge a 2006 loss to Fabricio Werdum in the main event of the Showtime-televised fight card.

"The Reem" is a whopping -500 favorite.

Of course anything can happen in the sport of mixed martial arts, especially when you have the grappling credentials that "Vai Cavalo" does (see Emelianenko, Fedor). Nevertheless, the two-time ADCC champion is a +300 underdog.

Are the oddsmakers calling it like they see it? Or playing it safe? Take a look at how these two heavyweights stack up after the jump and decide for yourself.
