Tachi Palace 9: "The Contenders" took place last night (May. 6, 2011) from the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California.

The 13-fight card saw multiple UFC veterans return to action, as well as a former WEC combatant in main event action, as Ian McCall put together a diverse but dominant gameplan to defeat an outgunned Dustin Ortiz.

On the undercard, middleweight UFC castoff Gerald Harris, who was released after just one loss with the promotion, got back in the win column with a unanimous decision win over Strikeforce vet Anthony Ruiz.

Finally, Efrain Escudero, he of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) fame, dropped his first fight since leaving the world's largest fight promotion, a unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Fabricio Camoes.

But that's not all.

Ian "uncle creepy" McCall made his opponent very weepy last night.

Jon " Bones " Jones new UFC light heavyweight champion. Even if Jones got struck flush in the face he would recover and defeat whoever is in front of him. I told everyone the fight would be easy. Anderson Silva would never fight "Bones". He is too scared to fight the real P4P champion. Nick Diaz, the man who will prove to the MMA world that he is the best WW in the world.

War Yamaguchi

P4P best hair in mma.

I don't always rage, but when I do, I prefer doing it over Bellator judging. Stay angry, my friends.
