Bellator 43 weigh in results for 'Hieron vs Hawn' on May 7

The official weigh-in event for Bellator 43 took place today (May 6, 2011) in advance of tomorrow night's card, which airs live on MTV2 at 9 p.m. ET, in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Of the 12 fighters who weighed in, 11 made weight successfully. Former WEC bantamweight champion Chase Beebe was 0.4 pounds over the allotted 136 pound limit and he'll have two hours to drop the weight.

The main event of Bellator 43 will feature the welterweight tournament finals between UFC and Strikeforce veteran Jay Hieron and undefeated Judo Olympian Rick Hawn. Both men will be competing for a $100,000 pay check as well as a shot at Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren.

Also on the main card, Bellator season two middleweight finalist, Bryan Baker, will square off with former UFC contender Joe Riggs in a bout where the winner will likely earn a spot in the next middleweight tournament.

Bellator bantamweight Jose Vega will also attempt to earn a shot into the next tournament by stepping into the cage with former WEC 135-pound champion Chase Beebe.
