Look out below!
The ratings are in for episode six of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13, and it looks like last week's increase in viewers was the exception, not the norm.
According to numbers released today by Spike TV, the latest episode garnered a 0.9 household rating (including a 1.2 in males 18-49 and a 1.2 in males 18-34) for an average audience of 1.2 million viewers, matching episode two for the season low.
While no one at the network is screaming "Mayday!" these numbers may be an indication that the reality television show, which initially struggled to capture an audience (even with the participation of box-office big timer Brock Lesnar) may have difficulty maintaining interest.
Here's how the numbers stack up to date:
Episode 1: 1.5 million viewers
Episode 2: 1.2 million viewers
Episode 3: 1.3 million viewers
Episode 4: 1.3 million viewers
Episode 5: 1.5 million viewers
Episode 6: 1.2 million viewers
Six episodes down, four to go.
TUF 13 episode six saw Team Dos Santos and Team Lesnar split the remaining elimination bouts as Tony Ferguson and Zach Davis were victorious and moved into the semifinals.
And Assistant Coach Lew Polley was fired from Team Dos Santos for continually overstepping his bounds.
Good times!
