Is there any hope?
I have a 27year old brother, who has never done anything remotely athletic in the past ten years. During this time, he has smoked about 2 packs of cigarettes every day. We are only 2 years apart, and me being the older brother, I always tried to get him to work out, but it never really lasted long. Now, he is about 15lbs overweight, mostly in the gut...and for the 1st time in his life he is really inspired and commited to getting in better shape, because his 1st child was recently born...I try to take him to work out with me, but me being a life long athlete, we are on completly different levels. I have never not been in shape, so I really dont know how to help someone that has to completley start from ground zero.
Can anyone tell me what to do to help with someone who is in such bad shape? He is also commited to eating the right way to et in shape and lead a healthier diet for his daughter....any tips, and strategies would really be appreciated!
