Evan Dunham has been forced out of his UFC 132 fight against George Sotiropoulos due to an undisclosed injury, according to MMAWeekly.com.
"Sots" is expected to get a new opponent for the "Cruz vs. Faber 2" show on July 2 in Las Vegas and according to a report from ESPN, it just might be Brazilian submission ace Rafael dos Anjos. Thoughts?

But seriously think G Sot’s couldnt get worse when he can stand with Siver – Look at the last two “boxers” that Siver beat – he lasted with him which is much better than some considering the fight was all standup
G Sot’s boxing did quite fine against the likes of pellegrino and stevenson and i would consider that sot would stand with a grappler and knock them out

Joe Lauzon is mainly a grappler and he pretty exposed Sot on the feet. G-sot is a amazing grappler but his stand up is really lacking.

Sot's striking is decent but he isn't a power puncher and his defence isn't the best
He can beat other grapplers on the feet but with BJJ as good as his I expect him to have a much easier time on the ground, even against another ground specialist. His wrestling needs to improve a lot though, against Siver his takedown attempts were very poor.
Shame that this fight has been cancelled as I’d wanted to see Sot and Evan fight for a while. Have him face Dos Anjos or Bocek next, Smooth Ben should be fighting another guy coming off a win though I’d like to see him and Sot fight at some point in the future.

when i asked him about his takedowns against Siver he got a bit annoyed – didnt want to elaborate on that much but he does have a wrestling record – check it out on his site – and he has focussed on wrestling in the past – i honestly think he didnt want to put everything into his takedowns against siver because he knew there was a chance he would get caught with a hook or knee
His best chance to get it to the ground was when siver knocked him down first round but then siver was much smarter than that!

I don’t think that’s the best matchup for sots. Doesn’t have the best takedowns and I believe Varner would perform better on the feet.

yeah it is a good way to look at it -
but if you look at who they lost to – they both lost to top lightweights – sherk, guillard and Siver – I think it’s only fitting to eliminate a contender to an extent.
How else are we going to recognise the true contendors? they have to face off….
