Jose Aldo injury update, Chad Mendes still hopes to fight at UFC 133 on Aug. 6

Let's try this again.

Earlier reports stating that UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo was injured seem to have been false ... kind of.

"Scarface" took to his Twitter account to dispel the myth that he injured himself and explain exactly why he won't be fighting at UFC 133 on Aug. 6 in Philadelphia.

"Let me be clear I'm not hurt again, I'm not hurt. I picked up a suspension (from) the Canadian commission and therefore should only return to training (after) 30 days this month. So once again, I'm not injured."

Aldo is referring to the suspension he was given after his hard-fought scrap at UFC 129 against Mark Hominick. Essentially, he's saying he will not be ready for the Philly show but could be ready as soon as the UFC 134 event going down in his native land of Brazil.

So where does that leave Chad Mendes, the number one contender to the featherweight title?

Mendes' manager, Mike Roberts, told that they have no intention of waiting around for the title shot they were reportedly all set to receive.

"Money," who sports a spotless 10-0 career record in less than three years as a professional, wants to stay busy and is looking for a partner to tango with in "The City of Brotherly Love."

The list of 145-pound contenders isn't exactly plentiful, but there are certainly a few names that may fit the bill for a veritable number one contender fight, right?

"The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung, perhaps? Or maybe someone else?

Little help, Maniacs?
