Sorry "Sin City" fight fans.
Just a short time after Jon Fitch suffered a shoulder injury and pulled out of his rematch against B.J. Penn at UFC 132, "The Prodigy" has done the same, according to MMAFighting.com.
Penn suffered an undisclosed injury and will no longer appear on the card, which is scheduled to go down on July 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Initially, it looked as though Carlos Condit, or even Anthony Johnson, would step in to fill the void left by Fitch, as both claimed they were more than up for the job.
However, it appears Penn's ailment is severe enough to keep him out of action. There is no word yet on whether the UFC will attempt to reschedule the rematch between Penn and Fitch at a later date when both are healthy.
