Bud Light renews UFC sponsorship and brings 'Battle on the Bayou' to Spike TV on Sept. 17 in New Orleans

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today (April 6, 2011) has announced a multi-year sponsorship renewal with Bud Light, the world's best-selling beer.
To celebrate, Brock Lesnar is going home to get on top of his wife.
The new agreement with Bud Light means more to fans than just a few well-placed logos and witty commercial spots. In fact, the boys at Anheuser-Busch will bring one special promotional event per year, beginning on Sept. 17, 2011, with a live event in New Orleans airing on Spike TV.
"Battle on the Bayou" will also feature a Bud Light sponsored sweepstakes that could send a couple of lucky fans to the "Big Easy" for the September super-show.
Here's how to enter:
Bud Light is extending the New Orleans event beyond the fight night with the "Battle on the Bayou" national sweepstakes*, a three-day, two-night UFC fan experience in the Big Easy – complete with weigh-ins downtown, an exclusive concert and meet-and-greets with UFC personalities. Beginning May 2, fans 21 and older can enter to a win a trip for two to the "Battle on the Bayou" online at www.Facebook.com/BudLight or through UFC-branded Snap Tags on Bud Light point-of-sale materials.

I believe in some circles they refer to that as "Heaven." Oh, and be sure to keep your eyes open for the new Bud Light aluminum bottle adorned with the UFC logo, the first of its kind.

according to wikipedia:

A good cask conditioned ale is amazing. There is a brew pub near me that has at least one on tap at all times. I got in good with the one bartender and we bullshit beers all the time. Finding a good bartender worth his salt is the key to drinking at a brew pub. Casks only last 2-3 days tops, so a good barkeep will let his good customers (read big tippers) know when to drink what.

it's really good!
tastes quite unique, something close to cider with vinegar, pretty shocking the first time i had it.
and as far as i know the only place here that serves casked beer is a restaurant named beer factory but it’s over 250km from where i’m at and i hate the city it’s located in.
i have to settle for bottled but one of these days i’ll brew my own. Just need to condition a room and get the equipment, hopefully this very same year

as i said, rarely drink. but as far as bread being bad for fitness:
eff that. im a huge anti-“carbs are bad for you” guy.
i eat sandwiches like its going out of style. and i would have to say, according to american statics, im still "fit". even if i’ve now got an extra pillow over my abs, you can still see that there is some muscle under the pillow. carbs are delicous.
americans just hate the idea of exercise, so they will find any way they can to "get fit" by doing minimal effort. its sad, really.

my favorite mix
1 anjou pear, 1 apple (gala or honeycrisp), 2 tsp’s lemon juice, 1/2 pomegranate, handful of black raspberries and one tangerine. I drink this almost every Sunday morning before I work out. During the week it is a quick apple or pear with lemon juice. Not sure why the browning of these turns my stomach, but it does, so I add the lemon juice.
For a great veggie/fruit drink. 3 Roma tomatoes, 1 navel orange (baseball sized, not those gigantic things), 1/3 English cucumber (long skinny ones), 2 1/2" slivers of red or orange pepper, one jalapeno pepper and 3 celery stalks, dash of lime juice. Watch because the cucumber and especially the peppers can easily overpower the drink. Also, drink this one with a spoon as the veggies separate alot quicker and will form a pulp layer and water layer.
The only thing I do for the citrus is remove the skin, same with the pomegranate. I leave all the seeds/skin on everything else and drop them in.

I use a juicer, so I wash and throw in. It removes seeds/stems/extra pulp. Not sure how to apply to a blender, but the recipe is good.
The pomegranate’s are full of seeds, so you might want to mash them out before throwing in as the seeds taste like ass (VM told me).

I got the juicer as a present.
I literally spent about $100 on fruits and veggies and only stopped when I realized I was out of clean cups to use. I never even thought to buy a sleeve of Dixies, lol.
Fruits for which I do not like the juice…mangos and kiwi. I can eat both fine, but I can only tastethose flavors when I add it to a drink.
I am working on a fruit/veggie combo, but I choke down as many as I kinda like. If you have a good recipe for me, let me know.
Im simple in recipes so allow me to explore more before I can sit here and promote it haha. Like I said I do get a little creative with extracts sometimes, sometimes I also use yogurt.

Actually, drinking beer/alchohol is significant in social crowds. I tend not to want to hang out with guys who hit up the bars every friday night in comparison to the guys who want to go catch a movie or do something else. Does that make sense?

I actually learned it this year from my 1877 Black History Class, that i’m still currently still in.
It’s quite interesting, and i never knew the state of kentucky had it or any other Southern state, b/c i’m from the bay area, CA. And you can by liquor until they close up shop.
