Dominick Cruz is the first and current UFC Bantamweight champion. He will defend his UFC title for the first time at UFC 132, against Urijah Faber, the only man to beat him in his near perfect career. Cruz's latest wins have been over the likes of Jorgensen, Benavidez,(x2), and Bowles. Lets take a look at some of Cruz's very impressive stats.

Stats are only from his time at WEC

Fight Record 17-1-0

6 KO/Tko's, 10 Decision Wins, 1 Submission win

Rare Blemish-In his first fight with the WEC, Cruz fought Urijah Faber for the feather weight title, but the pressure of jumping from  local shows to a highly publicized main event got the better of him and he was tapped in the first round. He looks to avenge that loss on July 2nd, 2011.

Swing and a Miss- of the 998 attempts at a strike launched at Cruz by his nine WEC opponents, a mere 204 connected, garnering a success rate of 20.4%. Cruz has some of the best footwork in the business and it frustrates his opponents.

Knockdowns by an Opponent-  Cruz has yet to be tagged with anything big enough to knock him down, a stat that stands out when you consider the guys who've stood opposite him trying to do just that: Faber, Scott Jorgensen, Benavidez (twice), and Brian Bowles to name a few.

Stuffing the shot-  Opponents have compiled a dismal 16% takedown rate against Cruz, landing a collective 4 take downs out of 25 attempts over the course of his last nine fights.

Angle of attack-  79% of strikes are landed from a distance, 9% are landed in the clinch, and 12% landed on the ground. Cruz uses creative angles, level changing, and his quickness to get the better of his opponents.

Stick and Move- In his bantamweight title defense against Joseph Benavidez at WEC 50, the under dog Cruz out landed Benavidez 103-46 in total strikes, went six out of nine on takedown attempts and advanced to side control twice.

Do you believe Cruz will get his revenge on the fan favorite Urijah Faber? Or will Faber once again get the better of him? How do you see this fight playing out maniac's?
