One day i was browsing on the web and came accross a site called mmamania.com and i found myself glued to the page and the comments section. I thought i was the only person who knew anything about mma but just from reading your comments i have learnt so much about it and how wonderful this sport is. Now days whenever there is a fight night or ppv im stuck on this site reading comments to find out results because my family doesn't have pay tv and main event is far to expensive. I followed the whole story about ak and his fight camp and enjoyed that so much i decided i had to give it a go myself. 3 days after the ak fight i told my parents i wanted to get into training and they supported me because they knew how much i enjoyed the sport and competition. so know after about 3 or 4 weeks of training i have my first amatuer fight coming up this weekend and i couldnt be more excited. I guarentee if i had not of found this site i would not be fighting this weekend. Even though i am fighting i am not looking to make a career out of this i actually want to be a sports journalist and im doing a university course on it currently. I just want to thank all the mods and the maniacs on this site for opening my eyes to the greatest sport in the world thanks guys.Hey guys just wanted to show my appreciation for this site by writing a little summary of what this site has done for my life.ive just turned 17 years old and live in Australia or down under as you yanks say and until about 6 months ago i had only ever seen one mma fight on DVD and that was liddel vs Ortiz.
