Top featherweight contender Chad Mendes will be cage-side on April 30 in Toronto at UFC 129 for the Jose Aldo vs. Mark Hominick bout, according to MMAWeekly.com.

"Money" will reportedly be there with the intention of challenging the winner for the 145-pound title. If it's Aldo, Mendes is willing to fight him in Brazil.

Can't argue with that... I don't like his style, but I think he is actually a better wrestler than Urijah and who can really challenge Aldo nowadays anyway?

If Hominick’s hands can’t do it, then Chad is the next best style challenge. I will be hoping for a Faber style beatdown, don’t like the dude in and out of the cage.

Fedor.

The Machine is going to give it everything he has

His daughter might be born that day… for real. It’s close.

I know Aldo has his place in the P4P rankings right now, but im keeping my optimism up that Mark lands something that makes April 30th the greatest night ever… for Canadians.

Mendes is a good wrestler and I could see his style owning a belt for a long time. We’ll see.

UFC 129. This is how Christmas used to feel when I was six.

Homonick needs to land something significant in the first round.

After that his legs won’t move very well anymore and it’s the beginning of the end. It would be great and exciting to have the Ontario kid win! But I just don’t believe it at the moment…

I think Mendes is just the kind of fighter that could give Aldo problems but I think this is too soon for him and Aldo ends up knocking him out or with the decision.

If it’s Aldo, Mendes is willing to get his ass kicked in Brazil.

Been calling this for a while.

“IF” there is someone at 145 as of now that can beat Aldo, it is Chad. Not the most entertaining style but damn effective. Probably the best stylistic match up against Aldo. Buuuut, five rounds is a long time to survive. I said survive because he wont finish Aldo.
