Strikeforce results wrap up for 'Diaz vs Daley,' Bellator 40 and MFC 29

Last Saturday night (April 9, 2011) capped off yet another action-packed weekend of mixed martial arts which, of course, means fight fans got another action-packed weekend right here on MMAmania.com as well.
Already lighting up the boards is the main event from Saturday night's Strikeforce event on Showtime.
Yeah, Nick Diaz and Paul Daley fought to what can only be described as one of the craziest opening rounds in MMA history, but there were several other intriguing battles as well, including Gilbert Melendez's complete and utter destruction of Japanese import Tatsuya Kawajiri and Gegard Mousasi's bizarre majority draw against Keith Jardine.
Shinya Aoki also turned Lyle Beerbohm into a "Fancy" pretzel but for the "Tobikan Judan," that's just another day at the office.

Bellator got no love this weekend. Like dust in the wind with no Eddie A.
StrikeForce was a strong show. Zuffa off to a good start with that pet project – now fire Gus Johnson and tell Frank Shamrock to get his braces off – I mean how much longer?
